Although language engineering and project management are vital aspects of large scale translation and localization projects, at the core of the process lies the translation itself. The following are features of a high quality translation.

The translated material should read as though it was written in the target language. The style of the translated text should flow freely and not contain artifacts of the source language's grammar. It should be tailored to its target audience both in terms of idiomatic expression and terminological sophistication.

To ensure that we produce translations which are a faithful representation of the original text we only work with native-speaker translators who have the skill, training and experience to recognize difficult expressions in the source language and the professionalism to take the time to decode them into a clear and concise translation. We also apply a linguistic proofing process so that errors or slips made by the translator are not allowed to remain in the text.

Technical accuracy is central to all technical and semi-technical translations. No single translator can be an expert in all areas. However, we have a number of freelance technical translators with university degrees in technical disciplines who we work with for texts that lie outside of our core competence. We also have a range of technical dictionaries and linguistic resources which we combine with the web to produce knowledgeable and well researched translations.

We apply a rigid proofing process to all translations to ensure that consistency is maintained, terminological databases are followed and slips are identified and corrected.
